“As a bride, it is imperative that you start thinking about your skin care regimen at least 6 months before the wedding date” says Aesthetician Kristi Martone, at SKIN.

 Boot Camp Timeline

Six months before wedding:

~ Facial Treatments:  Communication is key. Discuss what your skin goals are with your esthetician and decide which services are best for you! Schedule a 60 minute hydrating facial treatment like the Oxygen Facial or HydraFacial MD, with your Esthetician. Let her know how long you have to prepare before your wedding day and together you both will create an action plan.  At Skin, we have plenty of treatments that partner great with neurotoxins like BOTOX or any filler!

~  Facials are beneficial because they deeply cleanse the skin, boost circulation, are hydrating and help to bring skin to its natural balance. For maximum results, facials should be enjoyed every four to six weeks. It is advisable to begin having treatments six to 12 months before your wedding date. Don’t forget to ask about back treatments as well!

~Quality skincare products and a strict home care regimen are going to be key in seeing those results! An effective skincare routine should make your skin look and feel healthy. Ask about adding on Peels or more exfoliating treatments that require little prep work and little to no downtime!

~ At SKIN we offer full body waxing! Come get your brows shaped and touched up in the weeks prior to the wedding! Kiss your razor good-bye and get on a monthly waxing rotation.

One month before wedding:

~ Grab your spa-bestie and come in for a full day of pampering! This will be the last time to receive any peels or extractions prior to your big day! From here on out its all about hydration!

~ Add on a hand and foot service to slough off those dry patches and show off that healthy glow (AND RING!)

Two weeks before wedding:

~ Now is the time to focus on skin hydration and protection! Stay out of the sun unless you have a strong SPF, and make sure to use your nightly eye cream! This is the time to replenish the skin and calm those nerves!

~Don’t forget to schedule that last brow, lip or chin wax before the big day! Dermaplaning is another fun option for a smooth texture, picture perfect!

Night before the wedding:

~ Make sure to cover up those magnifying lamps! Don’t touch your face tonight! Nervous brides tend to touch and pick at their face, be sure to wash those hands often and keep them away from your face.

~ If you notice a blemish last minute, try using a cold compress and ice cubes after your finishing products or nightly routine.

~ DO NOT PICK OR TWEEZE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!!!
