I had two facials by Kris in the span of a couple days – the first was a relaxing, traditional facial which was absolutely splendid. Kris‘ skill as a massage therapist as well as an aesthetician was apparent -she has *magic fingers* and massages with coordination and ease – we went through a series of different peels and masks and all the products used were gentle, relaxing, and 100% natural. I left with my skin hydrated and glowing and all of my deep-set acne came easily to the surface. She also threw in a bit of neck, shoulder, and foot massage, which was unexpected and wonderful!
I had a hydrafacial two days later and, due to the first facial, it was quick, easy, and totally painless – something one can’t say about traditional extractions. I left with my skin feeling smoother than I can ever remember it being and all of my swollen, angry blemishes calm and inflammation had totally gone down. I was left with a couple of tiny scabs where the largest blackheads came out but that’s only to be expected! 
Additionally Kris is a really lovely and funny person who goes out of her way to make you smile – however she does not mess around when it comes to skin – A+!

I have struggled with Acne my whole adult life and have been to many spas and doctors for help, without ever seeing any true results of clear skin.
Kris customizes her treatments based on her client needs, which is something rare and hard to find. Every time I have seen her, she has carefully examined my skin, asked me questions about what I am doing, what I am using, etc. and then developed the best treatment plan for me. She has never guided me wrong – every treatment I have received from her has been the best I have ever had.
She will suggest what you need by examining your skin and she is very honest with her recommendations. I recently had the Hydrafacial MD and my results were amazing, from the moment I walked out of her spa. I have never had anyone ask me about my skin. The day I left Kris‘s spa, my husband (of all people) asked me “wow, what did you do to your skin? it looks great!” and three other complete strangers asked me the same question!
Kris has introduced me to Dermaplaning, which has also provided excellent results.
I have added this to my normal routine and will continue to see her every month to help maintain my clear skin.

Love this med spa. Beautiful decor and professional staff. Easy to find with lots of parking in the garage. They have a great menu of services they provide. I’ve had B12 shots which gave me lots of energy. I had a photo facial which removed all the little red blood vessels. My favorite service, so far, were the facials by Kristi Martone. The European Facial was so relaxing. I almost fell asleep. The HydraFacial™️ did amazing things for my skin. My husband also goes there and loves all the services he’s had. I have referred several friends who have also fallen in love with this spa.

I have gone to someone I thought was incredible in La Jolla for a few years and was afraid to switch offices. I have been coming to this office for a little under a year and this is my true review.

 Kristi not only gives the best massages but she also removed a deep acne scar with micro-needling.

I didn’t know going anywhere else could ever be an option? 

I started off going to The Hive for vitamin injections because I noticed a radical plunge in my energy levels and inability to focus after having a baby (no kidding) and I wanted to feel a bit of sanity again. I love their options ranging from the basic B-12 to more complex combinations tailored for athletes, weight loss, or just revitalizing injections. Do your research prior to getting them done if you have questions or concerns! That’s what they went to school for- to help educate us to overalls help us.

Anyways! I have also been seeing Kris, the Esthetician. What would I do without her? She is the skin whisper. What? Yes. She possesses a wealth of knowledge that reflects in the way she works with your skin. She invests in your progress and treats your goals like it would be her own. I value estheticians that are staying current in the industry and using the best of the best. Being an esthetics student I really read into the smaller details that most clients leave unnoticed. She weaves in relaxation with corrective skincare. She doesn’t just slap on product and leave you waiting and charge you $200. She adds on treatments to make sure you’re getting your money’s worth.

Kris is truly a blessing.

Not only is she professional, she is such a sweetheart. Being someone who knows very little about how to take care of my own skin, I have always been told different things everytime I go to have my skin taken care of, but nothing ever seemed to work. 
After coming to Kris I truly have gained my confidence back. Going to the gym without having to put makeup on or feeling insecure is one of the best feelings. She never charges you for something she doesn’t feel is necessary and is willing to work with your budget.

I have had problems with my skin my entire life.  When Kristi recommended the hydrafacial I thought she was crazy.  I was so sick of hearing this works and that works and expecting the best results and getting nothing but more acne!!  I have been to dermatology offices and aestheticians from New Jersey to Arizona to San Diego.  SKIN is the best facial.  When I got to Skin By Kris, she offered me a parking voucher and let me in her cute studio.  She immediately looked at my skin and confidently said I can fix your face.  She guaranteed it.  She uses a lot of fancy technology and as much as she speaks quickly through the consultation and she is quiet most of the treatment.  I don’t really know what she was doing back there, but I can tell you that my results were immediate.  I don’t yelp a lot, but after over 100 facials and then Skin making a difference in 1 hour, I thought I should give a shout out.  Thank you Kristi!  I’ll be back!!
